For the sixth consecutive year, the Heart of the Rockies Radio Group and Media Center has teamed up with the sports boosters to award a 500 dollar scholarship to four student athletes, two from Buena Vista and two from Salida.
That means in six years, 12,000 dollars has been spent in helping kids reach forward to achieve their goals of moving on.
This years winners are Scout McMurry and Jim Gabriel from Buena Vista and Elise Mishmash and Zayne Walker from Salida. Check out what each of them had to say about their time in their school colors and what is next for them!
