George “Sid” Collins Obituary
George Sidney Collins, (Sid as people knew him), passed away on April 12, 2026 at Heart of The Rockies Regional Medical Center. Mr. Collins was born August 27, 1941 in Salida, CO to Dorothy and George Collins. Sid grew up in Poncha Springs, Saguache and Villa Grove Colorado and finally on the family ranch on Clover Creek. He spent many years as a rancher and construction worker. Sid is preceded in death by his beloved mother Dorothy Anderson, father George Collins and daughter Brandy Collins. He is survived by his three sons, Mike (Sandi) Collins of Salida, CO, Robert (Lisa) Collins of Baker City, OR and Travis Collins of Salida, CO. Brother Dave (Barb) Collins, grandchildren Brandi (Brent) of Grand Junction, CO, Chelsie (Ryan) of Grand Junction, CO, Brianna (Tristan) of Salida, CO, Jorden and Amber Collins. Niece Tina (Lynwood) Beran and their daughter Jorden of Caldwell, TX and nephew Scott (Brittany) Collins and their daughter Ella of Salida, CO. No Services are planned at this time.
