The Chaffee County Community Foundation, in partnership with the Salida Community Center, High Country Bank, and the City of Salida, has launched a fundraising campaign to help ensure fireworks return for two of the community’s most anticipated events.
Organizers are working to raise $35,000 by June 1 to fund displays for both the Fourth of July celebration and the annual Parade of Lights. Historically, the July 4th fireworks show has required about $25,000, while the Parade of Lights display costs an additional $10,000.
Community members are encouraged to contribute to help keep the tradition alive. Donations can be made online at chaffeecommunity.org.
Organizers say the effort reflects a strong community partnership aimed at preserving beloved local celebrations for residents and visitors alike.
