Those planning to hit the Arkansas River today should prepare for lower water conditions and more technical rapids as flows continue to run below seasonal averages.
According to the latest report from River Runners, river levels on Monday morning measured:
- Pine Creek/Numbers: 322 cubic feet per second (CFS)
- Browns Canyon: 384 CFS
- Royal Gorge: 406 CFS
While the lower flows create a different experience on the water, rafters and kayakers can still expect an exciting day navigating the Arkansas River’s renowned rapids.
River Runners continues to offer guided rafting trips and kayak programs daily through Labor Day. Reservations can be made online at Whitewater.net.
After a day on the river, visitors can stop by The Beach restaurant, which is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday. Weekend brunch is served beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
River officials encourage everyone enjoying the water this season to use caution, wear proper safety gear, and stay aware of changing river conditions.
From the teams at River Runners and The Beach: enjoy the river and stay safe.
