The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down near Woodland Park on July 30th, following a storm damage survey conducted earlier this week.

The tornado touched down approximately six miles west of Woodland Park, reaching an estimated width of 50 yards and carving a path just under a mile long. It has been rated an EF-1 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale, with estimated winds of 110 miles per hour.

No injuries have been reported, but the NWS is continuing to assess the full extent of the storm’s impact.
