Dogs may soon be allowed on restaurant patios.

State Senator Kerry Donovan’s bill that would allow dogs on restaurant patios has passed out of committee with bipartisan support with a 4-1 vote and passed on 2nd reading yesterday.

The legislation would let restaurants decide whether or not they will allow dogs in the outdoor dining areas.

A final vote on the Dogs on Restaurant Patios bill takes place on the Senate floor today.
