A Custer County resident was charged with 4th degree arson over the weekend after allegedly causing a small wildfire.
According to the Custer County Sheriff’s Office, a resident dumped ashes from their fireplace in the area of Custer County Road 182 and caused the wildfire. The sheriff’s office did didn’t provide specific information as to the size of the fire, only that it was “small”.
