In Loving Memory Craig Dixon Galler February 1, 1955 to June 29, 2026 Craig Galler, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 29, 2026, at the age of 71.

Born on February 1, 1955, in Washington, DC, Craig’s life was a testament to kindness, love, and dedication, leaving a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Craig was the beloved son of Jill Kidwell and the late Jerry Galler. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sheila, with whom he shared 24 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, adventure, and cherished memories. Craig is also survived by his stepmother Sharon Galler and his half-sister Andrea.

Craig was a proud father to his daughter Jessica and her husband Kyle, and his son Adrian and his wife Jennifer. He delighted in his role as a grandfather to his two precious granddaughters, Aubrey and Avery.

Craig’s educational journey took him through Arizona State University, American University, and Benjamin Franklin University, where he studied Accounting. His professional career was marked by a long tenure with Lockheed Martin Motor Vehicle Services, which later became part of Affiliated Computer Services. From 1983 to 2015, Craig held several key positions, including Director of Business Development, Senior Project Manager, and Chief Systems Development Manager. His expertise was recognized in the co-authorship of “Software Re-Engineering,” published in the Software Engineering Productivity Handbook by McGraw-Hill in 1992.

Beyond his professional achievements, Craig was a man of many passions. An avid rock collector, he found beauty and inspiration in the natural world. As an artist, he expressed himself through painting and created unique “ManBall” bracelets. A lover of the outdoors, Craig enjoyed hiking, gardening, and golf. During the challenging times of the COVID pandemic, he and Sheila found solace in their camper, embarking on journeys that deepened their bond and broadened their horizons. Together, they traveled to over 20 countries, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

Craig was known for his warm heart, generosity, and ability to make friends with ease. He had a contagious laugh and a deep love for animals, especially dogs. His life was guided by the principle of kindness, a value he instilled in his family and all those who knew him. Though a private Celebration of Live to honor Craig will be held, his family invites those who wish to commemorate his memory to consider a donation to the Ark Valley Humane Society in Buena Vista or the Longmont Humane Society, reflecting his enduring love for animals.

In the words of Craig’s family, “In a world where you can be anything, be kind.” This message encapsulates the essence of a man who lived his life with compassion, joy, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved. Craig’s legacy will forever be cherished, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
