CPW Investigating Moose Poaching Case Near Deer Creek in Park County

Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) is investigating the death of a cow moose found near Deer Creek in Park County as a suspected poaching case.

According to CPW, the animal was found late last week, and investigators believe the moose was shot sometime between September 28 and 30.

CPW is asking anyone who lives in the area and may have heard gunshots or seen suspicious activity during that time to contact Operation Game Thief at 1-800-265-6648.

Tips can remain anonymous, and rewards may be available for information leading to an arrest or citation in the case.
