The Cotopaxi Pirates senior class of 2020 is sending their second athlete to compete at the next level in college!
Claire Carlson will be advancing her career in track and field at Adams State University next year after signing her letter of intent. Claire qualified for multiple events in the 2019 state track meet, having to drop some before deciding on the 4×100 relay as a team event which they would place 4th in, as well as the 100 hurdles (5th), long jump (3rd), and triple jump (4th).
Carlson will be joining Chance Gulliford from the Cotopaxi baseball team who signed to play for Adams State in the fall.
