Colorado Native Sophie Herzog Set for the 2021 Tokyo Paralympics This Friday

During the 2021 Paralympics in Tokyo the mountains of Colorado will once again be represented by Fairplay native Sophie Herzog.

Sophie Herzog won silver in the breast stroke during the 2016 Rio games, and has been training in Salida under the Salida Spartans swim coach Wendy Gorie.

Sophia Herzog will compete August 25th in the women’s 200 meter individual medley, August 27th in the women’s 100 breaststroke, and August 30th in the women’s 50 butterfly. Each event will start at 6 pm. All finals will also be on those days, starting at 2 am MST.

Coverage of the 2021 Paralympics will be spread across NBC, NBCSN, and the Olympic Channel according to the International Paralympic Committee.
