The Colorado State Patrol is partnering with local law enforcement agencies across the state for the annual Memorial Day DUI enforcement period, which runs through the 27th.

During the enforcement campaign, drivers can expect increased saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints aimed at removing impaired drivers from Colorado roadways and improving holiday travel safety.

State officials say impaired driving continues to be a serious concern. In 2025, a total of 16,796 people were arrested for Driving Under the Influence statewide, averaging roughly 46 DUI arrests every day.

Authorities are urging motorists to plan ahead, use designated drivers or rideshare services, and never get behind the wheel while impaired.
