A class action lawsuit has been filed against Jon and Carie Hallford for their alleged negligence and mistreatment of nearly 200 bodies found inside a Penrose funeral home and the subsequent damages it has caused for families.
The lawsuit was filed Monday, Oct. 30th, in Fremont County and cites 13 different damage claims against the Hallfords and their Return to Nature Funeral Home.

The suit claims emotional distress, fraud, and violations of consumer protection. It also claims the Hallfords provided fake ashes in the form of concrete to the decedent’s families.
The Hallfords have 21 days from the day they are officially served to make a defense claim.

His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. Dan enjoys being involved in the community, having been a member of the Upper Arkansas Service Club and is currently on the board of directors for the Salida Community Center and is a member of the Chaffee County Fair Committee. He and his wife Carrie spend their days doing everything the mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. They've raised 3 children and have 2 grandchildren.
