The City of Salida will host a public meeting to introduce its consolidated draft Land Use Code and new Zoning Map next Tuesday, April 22nd, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the SteamPlant Event Center.

City officials say the draft represents the most comprehensive update to Salida’s land use regulations in nearly 15 years. Since the last update, the city has experienced significant growth and changes, making a full code rewrite essential to guide future development.

The proposed code includes updates to zoning districts, development standards, and procedures designed to align with Salida’s evolving community goals. The final draft is expected to go before the Planning Commission and City Council this summer for formal adoption.
