Salida, CO — The City of Salida invites residents to a second community meeting to review the

latest design updates for the proposed affordable housing project and public park and to hear a

summary of the feedback gathered during the first meeting. City staff and representatives from

Northpointe Development and Shopworks Architecture, the City-selected development partners,

will share updated concepts, answer questions, and outline the upcoming timeline for pursuing

funding.

A major focus of the discussion will be the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) application,

which, if awarded, would provide a significant portion of the project’s funding. The application is

due in February, and this meeting will give community members an opportunity to learn more

about the process and anticipated next steps, including the concept design presentation to City

Council planned for the December 15th work session.
