The City of Salida is pleased to permanently welcome Erin Kelley as its permanent City Clerk.

Kelley has been serving as the interim City Clerk in Salida since February of 2020, and was permanently appointed to the position by the City Council at its regular meeting on June 16, 2020.

Ms. Kelley holds Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Arizona State University as well as a Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida.

According to Mayor P.T. Wood, “The City of Salida is thrilled to have Erin permanently fill the role as our new City Clerk. Erin has shown a great commitment to the City organization and to the community at large. She stepped into the role under really tough circumstances following Sonia
Walter’s passing in January, and really took a leadership role immediately with our organization. This appointment is really an extension of all of the hard work Erin has put into the job already.”

Kelley transitioned into the role of City Clerk after working for the City’s Fire Department for four and a half years. Prior to that, Kelley’s first professional role was in the Florida Legislature managing bill history and informing the public of bill status. “I truly cherish my community and I look forward to supporting the public in my new position,” Kelley stated.

The appointment is effective immediately.
