Chaffee County Public Health Extends Local Public Health Order 2020-07 Through June 5th.
Chaffee County Public Health (CCPH) has extended its local public health order 2020-07 through June 5. Originally, 2020-07 was in effect through May 31, but because the state-wide order is in effect through May 31 unless it is extended, rescinded, or amended, the extension gives CCPH and its county-wide partners time to respond to the content in the state order and to draft a local order that best meets the county’s health and safety needs. It is assumed that the state, and therefore the county, will continue to lift restrictions in the upcoming days if the COVID-19 outlook remains stable. At the time of this press release, CCPH has not been notified by the state on the status of its variance to lift the restrictions on local short-term rentals.
