The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office has released its activity statistics for the month of February, highlighting the volume of calls and law enforcement activity handled throughout the county.

According to the report, the Chaffee County Communications Center dispatched 180 emergency medical calls, 140 fire calls, and nearly 2,700 law enforcement calls during the month.

At the Chaffee County Detention Center, the average daily population was 58 inmates, with 112 new inmates booked into the jail throughout February.

Meanwhile, deputies with the Patrol Division remained active across the county, issuing 384 citations and making 66 arrests. Among those arrests were 12 DUI-related cases.

Sheriff’s officials say the monthly report reflects the ongoing workload for emergency responders and law enforcement personnel serving the Chaffee County community.
