Chaffee County Public Health says it is fielding increased demand for the anticipated Covid-19 vaccine. At this time, Public Health does not yet have access to the new vaccine but is staying in close communication with the Colorado Department of Health regarding availability and recommendations.
Final approval for this season’s Covid-19 vaccine has not yet taken place at the federal level, leaving the timeline for supply availability uncertain.
Public Health has scheduled mass vaccination clinics this fall, but officials note those clinics may only be able to offer flu vaccines if the Covid-19 vaccine does not arrive in time.
