The Chaffee County Early Childhood Council is asking local workers to weigh in on the community’s childcare challenges as part of a new assessment aimed at better supporting families. The organization is gathering data on what local employees need most when it comes to childcare access, affordability, and availability.

Council leaders say the information collected will help them collaborate more effectively with community partners, including area businesses, nonprofit organizations, and potential funders. The goal is to identify realistic solutions to the childcare barriers many families face throughout Chaffee County.

The survey remains open through the end of business today, and community members are encouraged to participate. Those interested can find the link at ccecc.org.

The Chaffee County Early Childhood Council is a nonprofit that serves children from prenatal through age 8, along with their families, working to strengthen early learning, family support, and community resources across the county.
