The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office reported yesterday that the county is staying in Stage 2 Fire Restrictions after reviewing the latest data. Most of Chaffee County remains in exceptional drought despite recent moisture. This week’s weather forecast has high temperatures with only minimal rain. Because of this, Chaffee County will remain under Stage 2 Fire Restrictions, along with Lake, Park, Saguache and Fremont counties.
