The Chaffee County Community Foundation is inviting all qualified nonprofits organizations within the region to apply for nearly $49,000 in funds available through its Fall Grant Cycle which runs from July 1st through July 31st.
The grants are divided into two categories. In the first, the Sangre de Cristo Electric Association Grant Fund will distribute a total of $35,000 to organizations that serve the communities of Chaffee, Custer, Fremont or Lake Counites.
The second category is the CCCF Community Grants Fund which has $15,000 available for organizations that serve communities in Chaffee County that focus on community health, vitality and capacity.

Danny “Dan R” Ridenour has been in radio and television broadcasting for over 40 years, starting as a senior in high school in Rogers, Arkansas. His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. Dan enjoys being involved in the community, having been a member of the Upper Arkansas Service Club and is currently on the board of directors for the Salida Community Center and is a member of the Chaffee County Fair Committee. He and his wife Carrie spend their days doing everything the mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. They've raised 3 children and have 2 grandchildren.
