The Chaffee County Community Foundation (CCCF) has announced the launch of a new initiative called the Friends of Public Health and Prevention Fund, aimed at strengthening the long-term sustainability of local public health programming.
According to CCCF’s website, “Funding for public health and prevention has always been dynamic, complicated, and uncertain,” relying on a mix of insurance reimbursements, county funds, and grants. The new fund offers community members a direct way to financially support free and low-cost health services provided across Chaffee County.
Chaffee County Public Health will set funding priorities and be responsible for maintaining current programming and staffing. Contributions will help ensure continued access to vital services such as preventive health screenings, maternal and child health support, immunizations, and health education efforts.
Donations are tax-deductible and can be made through the Chaffee County Community Foundation website at chaffeecommunity.org.
