The Colorado Department of Transportation is warning motorists that high winds and blowing dust continue to create dangerous driving conditions across southern Colorado.

Drivers may encounter sudden drops in visibility and possible road closures as a result of the conditions. CDOT says safety closures could continue through tomorrow as strong winds persist.

The warning follows a deadly dust storm that contributed to a 30-vehicle crash on Interstate 25 south of Pueblo yesterday. Four people were killed in the حادث, according to authorities.

Motorists are urged to slow down, increase following distance, and avoid travel if conditions become unsafe.
