The Colorado Department of Transportation has introduced a new online landing page designed to help motorists better prepare for travel along the Interstate 70 mountain corridor.
CDOT communications manager Stacia Sellers noted that driving the I-70 mountain stretch is “a much different driving experience” compared to most other highways. The corridor’s high elevation, rapidly changing conditions, and risk of extreme mountain weather can create unique challenges for drivers.
To support safer and more informed travel, CDOT has launched a comprehensive information hub at CODOT.gov/travel/i70mountain. The site provides a one-stop resource for everything drivers need to navigate the corridor, including weather updates, traffic conditions, safety tips, and travel requirements.
The new page aims to help residents and visitors alike plan ahead before heading into Colorado’s high country.
