Chaffee County, CO — In the wake of the Mountain View Fire, the Chaffee County Community Foundation (CCCF) has activated its Emergency Response Fund to support local recovery and relief efforts for those affected by the fire. CCCF is proud to partner with Chaffee County to serve as the designated nonprofit stewarding donations to provide direct and flexible support to impacted residents and families.

“This community is resilient, and we know that many people are looking for ways to help,” said Betsy Dittenber, Executive Director of CCCF. “By donating to the Emergency Response Fund, you can ensure your contribution goes directly to those most in need—quickly and effectively.”

Thanks to the rapid response and coordination of firefighting teams and emergency responders, many homes and lives were saved. However, two families experienced devastating losses, including total loss of homes and property. Additionally many families experienced financial hardship during the mandatory evacuation. CCCF will work closely with local partners and the Department of Human Services (DHS) to ensure resources are distributed equitably and transparently.
