The City of Salida has announced the promotion of Captain Chris Bainbridge to the role of Division Chief of Wildfire within the Salida Fire Department.
The appointment comes at a critical time, as wildfire risk continues to escalate across the region. With longer, more intense fire seasons, the City emphasizes that focused leadership in wildfire operations, education, and mitigation is essential for safeguarding the community.
“Wildfire represents the greatest threat to Salida, and Division Chief Bainbridge brings the experience, dedication, and vision needed to lead our efforts in addressing that risk,” said city officials.
