BUENA VISTA, Colo. — The Buena Vista Board of Trustees will hold its regular meeting tonight at 7 p.m., with several key agenda items including a proposed Amazon distribution center and updates from local agencies.
Trustees are scheduled to conduct a public hearing on the annexation and rezoning of approximately 17 acres of land located off County Road 317. The proposal would allow for the development of an Amazon distribution facility in the area.
In addition, trustees will hold a separate public hearing regarding proposed code amendments. These changes address regulations surrounding accessory structures, RV and camping vehicles, as well as co-housing arrangements within the town.
Members of the Chaffee County Community Foundation are also expected to present their 2026 Community Grant recommendations during the meeting.
Prior to the regular session, a work session will begin at 6 p.m. During that time, trustees will receive updates from the Chaffee County Fire Protection District and the Chaffee Housing Authority.
The meetings are open to the public.
