The Buena Vista Public Library has received a $30,000 grant from the Gates Family Foundation, a major supporter of capital projects that benefit communities across Colorado.
The Buena Vista Library’s ongoing renovation and expansion project was selected for funding due to its contributions to economic opportunity, quality of life, and community stability. Once completed in early 2026, the library will expand to 12,000 square feet, offering new resources and spaces to better serve local residents.
Library Director Cecilia LaFrance stated, “The Gates Family Foundation has been a cornerstone for Colorado nonprofits for over 75 years. It is an honor to be recognized by this esteemed organization.”
The grant marks a key milestone in the library’s mission to meet growing community needs while enhancing access to educational and cultural resources.
