Law enforcement officials are searching for 37-year-old Richard Capek after he reportedly walked away from a community corrections facility in Pueblo on January 31.
Capek had previously been described as one of Fremont County’s most-wanted violent fugitives. He was arrested in 2024 on multiple outstanding felony warrants, including second-degree assault, violation of a protection order, and domestic violence.
In addition to those charges, Capek was also wanted in connection with a residential burglary that occurred on July 11 in Rockvale, during which multiple firearms were stolen from a residence.
Capek was sentenced to 36 months in prison. He was scheduled to have a parole hearing in March and was expected to become eligible for parole in August.
Authorities urge anyone with information about Capek’s whereabouts to contact the Fugitive Tip Line at 866-873-6305.
