An arrest has been made in the Saguache homicide that occurred in he early morning hours this past Sunday.
Deputies with the Saguache County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Donald Garcia without incident in an abandoned camper in the town of Saguache yesterday.
Garcia is being held in the Saguache County Jail without bond and faces a charge of first-degree murder.
On Sunday, just before 4:30 am, the Saguache County Sheriff’s Office was called to a home in Saguache on a report of an injured man. Deputies found 50-year-old Robert Turner Jr. of Salida who would die from the injuries he sustained.
Investigators are not releasing how Turner died. Also, investigators believe this was an isolated incident.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has been requested to provide assistance.
