The Salida City Council will conduct a regular meeting tonight beginning at 6pm.
There is a full agenda. Under unfinished business, Council will hold two public hearings; one to authorize up to two alternate members of the Historic Preservation Commission, the other to amend the municipal code concerning general penalties to align with state law.
In new business, council will vote on a resolution expressing support for the 5-H LLC R-2 zoning question on the November 3rd ballot and will consider approving a memorandum of understanding regarding regional Proposition 123 affordable housing collaboration.
An executive session is scheduled to discuss the demolition of a “dangerous building” at 610 Walnut and to discuss the second amendment and open carry of firearms.

A work session precedes the regular meeting at 5pm with a lone agenda item to discuss the 2027 preliminary budget.
