Chaffee County Crime Stoppers is hosting a gold tournament at the Salida Golf Club on September 27th. The purpose of the tournament is to raise awareness and money for the day-to-day expenses associated with Crime Stoppers.

Local law enforcement initiated this effort to provide crime-solving assistance to the public. A cash reward is offered to anonymous persons who telephone the Crime Stoppers hotline with information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person(s) responsible for a crime.
The Crime Stoppers program has achieved great success, boasting an average conviction rate of over 90% on cases solved through Crime Stoppers’ tips.
