Crews contained a fire sparked by lightning in Lake George yesterday. Lake George Fire Protection District crews responded to a small fire in a single tree in Springer Gulch.
Due to the difficult-to-reach location, Lake George firefighters assisted Forest Service crews in using a new drone to find the closest access and direct crews into the correct location. The fire was fully contained by 7:05 p.m. It grew to a quarter of an acre before being knocked down.
