Fremont County citizens are being asked to take a Wildfire Survey to provide your perspectives and concerns about wildfire preparedness. The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and is open until August 28th.
The survey identifies perceptions about forest health and treatment activities such as controlled burns and tree thinning. It also asks about evacuation readiness and emergency alerts.
Survey responses will help inform the county’s Community Wildfire Protection Plan, which establishes recommendations that protect citizens, homes and essential infrastructure from the destruction of a large wildfire. The plan also helps raise federal and state funding for mitigation efforts as forest agencies develop future forest management projects.
