Republican Victor Marx has secured the Republican nomination for Colorado governor after maintaining a razor-thin lead over State Senator Barb Kirkmeyer.
The closely contested primary was decided after additional ballots were counted, giving Marx the Republican nomination.
Marx will now face Democratic nominee and Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser in the November general election to determine the state’s next governor.
