The Ark Valley Humane Society will hold its annual Microchip and Pet ID Tag Clinic next week, Monday through Sunday, at the Ark Valley Humane Society Shelter, located at 701 Gregg Drive.

Free services available during the clinic include:

  • Microchip implantation for cats and dogs
  • Engraved pet identification tags

Pet owners are asked to follow several guidelines to help the clinic operate smoothly:

  • Cats must arrive in secure carriers.
  • Dogs must be on a leash.
  • Upon arrival, owners should leave pets in their vehicles and check in at the front desk first.
  • Paperwork will be completed upon arrival.
  • Wait times for services may vary throughout the week.

Humane Society staff say microchips and identification tags are among the most effective ways to help reunite lost pets with their owners and encourage area residents to take advantage of these free services.
