The Salida is offering a Lifeguard Certification Program during the month of July for individuals interested in working at the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center.
The program is open to both students seeking their first job and adults looking for part-time employment. No previous lifeguard experience is required.
Participants will complete the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course, which costs $250 at the time of registration. However, those who are hired by the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center will be reimbursed for the full cost of the certification.
Qualified candidates may receive an employment offer following completion of the training and certification requirements.
Training begins July 6, and city officials encourage interested individuals to apply early.
