The girlfriend of a man sentenced earlier this year for a 2023 triple homicide in Custer County has now been indicted on multiple felony charges related to the case.

An 11th Judicial District grand jury returned an indictment against Nancy Medina-Kochis, charging her with three counts of first-degree murder, one count of attempted first-degree murder, one count of unlawful purchase of a firearm, and one count of tampering with physical evidence.

According to prosecutors, Medina-Kochis was taken into custody in New Mexico in November 2023 alongside her boyfriend, Hanme Clark, following a shooting that left three people dead and one person injured.

Earlier this year, Clark was found guilty of the murders and was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences.

The charges against Medina-Kochis stem from the same investigation. As with all criminal cases, the indictment contains allegations, and she is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
