Salida Community Center is hosting a Community BBQ tomorrow to help raise funds for this summer’s July 4th Celebration.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Community Center located at the intersection of 3rd and F Street in Salida. Organizers say the BBQ will include hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, potato salad, cookies and drinks for a suggested donation of $10 for adults and $5 for children.
A Weber grill will also be given away during the event at 3 p.m.
Salida Community Center Board Secretary Vicki Sue Vigil said the fundraiser is intended to “honor our first responders, veterans, the men and women who serve and protect us,” noting that tomorrow is also Armed Services Day.
