The first Central Colorado Humanists Sunday Science program of 2020 will focus on a topic that is making news across the state—Unmanned Aerial Systems, or drones.
The program will be held Sunday, January 5th, at the Rotary Scout Hut at Riverside Park in Salida. Doors open at 9:30 am, program starts at 10 am.
Drones are finding many uses in industry, public safety and government. Drones are also disrupting many industries, from agriculture to insurance to transportation to education. The presentation will look at a brief history of the devices, current uses, the regulatory environment and what the near future of the technology might be.
UAS Club President Taylor Albrecht will lead the discussion.
