Chaffee County Public Health is inviting Buena Vista residents to participate in a unique volunteer opportunity this summer by becoming trained Trishaw pilots.

The program offers free bike rides for older adults, helping provide fresh air, social connection and enjoyable outdoor experiences for community members. A trishaw is a specially designed electric-assist pedicab built with accessibility in mind.

Training for volunteers will include safe operation of the trishaw, rider experience best practices and program expectations. The training session is scheduled to take place this Friday.

Those interested in signing up for training or learning more about the program can call Aubrey at 719-429-8823.
