The Colorado Gator Farm in Mosca is working to raise funds for a potential expansion that could bring new life to a recently closed attraction in Cañon City.
Farm officials say they were approached with the opportunity to acquire the Royal Gorge Dinosaur Experience as a second location. The site includes a 35-acre property and a 14,000-square-foot museum facility, offering significant space for future development.
To support the possible purchase, the Gator Farm has launched a crowdfunding campaign, with details available through its official Facebook page. Organizers hope community support will help make the expansion a reality.
The farm emphasized that its current Mosca location—home to hundreds of alligators—would remain in place and would not be relocating as part of the proposal.
