The Salida City Council will convene for its regular meeting this evening at 6 p.m., with several key items on the agenda—including a liquor license hearing, neighborhood development updates, and proposed council policy changes.
Acting as the Liquor Licensing Authority, council members will hold a public hearing to evaluate whether there is substantial evidence to take disciplinary action against the license for Arlie Dale’s Jug Liquor, located on F Street in downtown Salida. Possible outcomes include revocation, suspension, or the issuance of a fine.
Under unfinished business, the council will also host a public hearing regarding an ordinance that proposes modifications to the South Ark Neighborhood, a matter that may impact future development and planning in the area.
In new business, council members will consider a resolution to amend the City Council Handbook. The proposed changes would introduce formal policies related to decorum, as well as procedures for removal and sanctions during council proceedings.
Community members are encouraged to attend or participate to stay informed and provide input on these important local issues.
