Cuchara Mountain Park, the historic ski area in southern Colorado, is reopening this weekend for the first time in 25 years, marking a major milestone for the community and winter sports enthusiasts.
The ski hill will be open Saturday and Sunday, and will continue operating every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for the remainder of the season. Organizers say the reopening represents years of effort to restore and revitalize the beloved mountain.
Day passes are priced at $45, and children under the age of 15 can ski for free, making Cuchara an affordable option for families.
Once a popular destination for generations of skiers, the return of Cuchara Mountain Park is expected to draw visitors from across the region and breathe new life into the area’s winter recreation scene.
