The Chaffee County Community Foundation, in partnership with the Salida Community Center, High Country Bank, and the City of Salida, has launched a fundraising campaign to ensure fireworks displays return for two of the community’s most popular events: the Parade of Lights and the Fourth of July celebrations.
Organizers say the annual Fourth of July fireworks display has historically required $25,000, while the Parade of Lights display costs approximately $10,000. Together, the campaign is aiming to raise $35,000 by June 1 to fully fund both events.
Community members who wish to support the effort can make donations online at chaffeecommunity.org. Event partners say the campaign is essential to keeping these long-standing traditions alive for residents and visitors alike.
