Family and Youth Initiatives, in partnership with the Chaffee County Department of Human Services, is offering a Nurturing Parenting Class designed to support families and caregivers in building strong, healthy relationships at home.

The class series will run from January 14 through April 8 and will focus on parenting with empathy, understanding child development, strengthening family bonds, and using nurturing discipline techniques. Organizers say the program is aimed at helping parents and caregivers develop practical skills in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Poncha Springs Town Hall. To reduce barriers to participation, free dinner and childcare will be provided for attendees.

Community members interested in learning more or registering for the class can contact Marjorie Jennings at 719-530-2535. Organizers encourage early registration, as space may be limited.
