The City of Salida will release candidate election packets for the upcoming 2025 municipal election starting Tuesday, August 5.
This election year, voters will choose:
- One City Council member from each ward
- A new Mayor, as Mayor Dan Shore has announced he will not seek re-election after eight years of service—four years on the council and four years as Mayor
Candidate qualifications include:
- Meeting residency and voter registration requirements
- Collecting at least 25 valid signatures from registered voters
