Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center welcomes board-certified Family Medicine physician David Stuart, M.D., to the HRRMC Buena Vista Health Center.
A Colorado native, Dr. Stuart chose to pursue his medical career in family medicine after positive family experiences and support from mentors. “I chose family medicine with the goal of caring for and serving a small Colorado community,” Dr. Stuart said “My goal as a family physician is first to support all members of the community in remaining healthy and living their best lives.”
Dr. Stuart approaches illness with the goal of providing a prompt, accurate diagnosis to patients, transitioning to immediate treatment or referral to the appropriate specialized sector of medicine. He focuses on shared decision-making with patients, so they can determine the next best steps for the patient’s health together.
“We are very pleased to welcome Dr. Stuart to our medical staff,” said HRRMC CEO Bob Morasko. “With his thoughtful approach and primary care and commitment to serving our community, he will only expand BVHC’s ability to provide the highest quality of patient care.”
Dr. Stuart received his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, NE, and completed his residency at St. Mary’s Family Medicine in Grand Junction, Colo. Dr. Stuart’s wife – Buena Vista native Dr. Anna Jones, M.D. – also provides family medicine and primary care to patients at BVHC.
When not providing medical care, Dr. Stuart enjoys the outdoors, where you can find him cycling, running, skiing or playing disc golf.
