The Colorado Department of Transportation is expecting heavy traffic this weekend due to a combination of leaf peeping and good weather.
Heavy traffic can significantly increase travel time. CDOT is asking motorists to plan ahead and be patient.
Also, the Colorado State Patrol is continuing the Fall Festivals DUI enforcement period through October 25th. Expect a large police presence on area highways this weekend with saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints.
